5 of the Best Naturist Beaches in Greece

If there was one myth that seemed to constantly perpetuate it would be the notion that naturist (nude) beaches went out of style in the 1960s. This is not an accurate assessment although it would seem that pop culture no longer pokes fun at the subject. As a result, it drifts out of the public consciousness. For those that are planning on visiting Greece and wish to explore naturist locales, the good news is that many of these nude beaches are popular in the country. Are you curious where to explore? The following brief list of the best naturist beaches in Greece may prove to be an excellent guide:

Paradise Beach in Mykonos Island: This particular beach is known for its large crowds and its “party” atmosphere. For those that may be new to the experience, this may not be the best destination. However, those that have been taking part in it for quite some time will find Paradise among the best naturist beaches in Greece.

Filaki Beach in Crete: The isle of Crete is known for many things which should come as no surprise since it has remained a legendary destination all throughout human history. For those that wish to find the best naturist beaches in Greece, Filaki Beach in Crete is the must visit destination. This is among the most popular nude beaches in the world and it is situated near some very popular nude hotel resorts. You could consider that a huge plus for those wishing to take part in an extended stay on the region.

Banana Beach in Skiathos: The use of the singular word “beach” may not be a completely accurate description. There are actually three beaches that make up this particular destination. Such choice will prove appealing to travelers since it opens the door to selecting the best beach for your particular likes. Of course, travelers also retain the option of visiting different beaches during their stay on the same island. That can definitely keep things exciting since the sameness of visiting a single beach is eliminated.

Kastellia Beach in Karpathos: This region of Greece is not exactly known for its naturist beaches although it is safe to say that Kastellia Beach remains one of the more popular in the country. Why is this so? It is a quiet beach for those that would prefer to spend a relaxed time on the beach away from much of the proverbial hustle and bustle some regions and beaches are known for. When you need a little quiet time, this is one of the best naturist beaches in Greece to explore.

Red Beach in Crete gets its name from the reddish sand that the region is known for. This beach is, of course, known for being one of the more popular naturist beach destinations which makes it a worthwhile destination to visit if nude beaches are your thing.

There are many other nude beaches in this country of Greece. The five listed here may be the best ones to look into first because they have much to offer.
