Goa is obviously famous for its beaches and green spaces, but it is certainly much more than this and offers plenty of heritage sites and landmarks. A small but interesting Portuguese fort is found at the mouth of the Terekhol River on the northern tip of Goa. Cabo Palace or Raj Bhavan is a presidential palace and fort that actually is the official residence of the Governor of Goa. It is located in the Goan capital of Panaji and was built in the 16th and 17th century. Inside it is very remarkable with beautiful wooden furniture and Chinese porcelain. There is also a stunning 500-year-old church in a corner of the site.
