Escape to Sunny Spain

Fancy a quick getaway? Looking for low-cost family holidays abroad? There are plenty of cheap villas in Spain which are perfect for escaping the daily grind and spending some much needed down time with family and friends.

Spain is Europe’s most popular coastal holiday destination, and it’s little wonder – with stunning beaches and vibrant nightlife, it’s also heavily steeped in history and culture. Just close your eyes and imagine relaxing on the beach with friends and family, partying the night away or wandering around a beautiful ancient cathedral. You really have no excuse not to visit sunny Spain!

The Costa del Sol on the south Mediterranean coast is the most visited region; it’s also where the best weather can be found (they didn’t name it “The Sun Coast” for nothing!). As well as fantastic opportunities for some sunbathing and frolicking in the sea, those not fond of lazing on the beach can check out the Alcazaba and the Picasso Museum, or enjoy a spot of scuba diving and take part in a number of water sports.

Highly popular resorts are Marbella and Torremolinos, where you’re guaranteed a fun night out. And when the party finally ends, you can retreat in your peaceful villa for some undisturbed beauty sleep! Or you can rent a car and head into Puerto Banus where you can gaze in awe at the many opulent yachts on display, shop till you drop at the ultimate retail destination El Corte Inglés and explore the many vibrant bars and clubs the town has to offer.

If you prefer a quiet, more cultural holiday experience, you can opt for less touristy Costa de la Luz in Western Andalucía, giving you a real chance to soak up some authentic Spanish culture. The Costa de la Luz is also famous for its unspoilt beaches and little fishing villages, offering the perfect balance of sight-seeing and sunbathing!

During your stay, you can visit gorgeous cities like Seville, which houses Spain’s most famous bullring, as well as live flamenco clubs and a beautiful cathedral. No traffic is allowed in the city-centre, leaving you free to wander the narrow streets, visit delicious tapas bars or take a ride in a horse-drawn cart.

The Balearic Islands are also fantastic to visit, especially the popular Mallorca, with varied night life on offer and sleepy little villages on the coast which offer great sunbathing opportunities. The city’s capital Parma is perfect for shopaholics, while those looking for a spot of walking and sightseeing should visit Valldemossa located up in the mountains for some stunning views.

And it’s impossible to talk about Spain without giving the island of Ibiza a mention. The most famous clubbing destination in all of Europe, with the hottest DJ talent coming to perform here every year, it’s everything party animals could want and more.

But if you’d prefer family holidays abroad, there’s another side to the island which rarely gets mentioned. Think endlessly beautiful countryside to explore, as well as tranquil beaches to just get away from it all. Many people from all over Europe choose to retire here, with a number of beautiful villas also available to rent at a low price.

So why delay? Book your dream holiday to Spain, and start building some wonderful memories.
