Unusual Activities Around the World

It’s hardly any surprise that in this world of global crisis, rising retirement ages, increasing health and safety and PC that more and more people are looking for some adventure and spark in their lives. YouGoDo, the world’s biggest activities and experiences website, has noticed more and more ‘unusual things to do’ being added to the website.

So what defines an ‘usual thing to do’? Climbing Everest, diving to the wreck of the Titanic, taking a space flight, taking a bus from London to Sydney, taking a 10 day rollerblading tour of Switzerland are all pretty unusual things to do, in that not many people will do any of these in their short time on this earth. But many of these are pretty extreme and not available to most of the population through a combination of location, budget, ‘time off to play’ and fitness.

But don’t worry, there are many other ‘unusual things to do’ around the world which are far more accessible and affordable (including free) – how about Playing cow pat golf, being a shepherd for a day, aqua skipping, scad jumping, making your own chocolate bars, taking part in the world’s biggest football game or the world’s biggest tomato fight!

Other activities which are not particularly ‘unusual’ can become an ‘usual thing to do’, simply by their location – kayaking for example is a pretty ordinary pursuit, but very few visitors to Venice or London will choose to kayak through these cities.

Take a look at YouGoDo’s unusual activities category and inspire yourself to put some spark into your life!
