Tenerife, the Algarve and Spain
Spain has long been a popular choice when it comes to choosing the perfect summer holiday; superb resorts, great prices and plenty of sun, sea and sand make it a fun place to be for all the family. This area of Europe, around the Iberian Peninsula, is home to some of the best destinations in the world, especially if you are looking for a cheap family holiday.

You may want to experience the party paradise of Ibiza, or the beauty and luxury of the Playa de Las Americas, and the difference could not be greater.
Next door to Spain, and often overlooked, is the very beautiful country of Portugal. Historically the UK’s oldest ally, this wonderfully welcoming country is home – in the Algarve – to one of the most gloriously attractive stretches in all of Europe. For summer holidays there can be few places that offer a more impressive location. Whereas Spain ranks as one of the most-visited countries in the world its neighbour offers a quieter, more relaxed take on the summer holiday theme, and its appeal is to families and couples alike.
Portugal is a land of beauty and style, and holidays to Algarve destinations are becoming ever-more popular by the year as more people discover the charms of the region. The fabulous resort of Albufeira is a perfect place for a cheap holiday, and is as family friendly as it gets. Equally popular is the superbly developed Altura, with its close proximity to some of the most stunning beaches in the region.
There really is so much to choose from when looking at holidays in Tenerife, Spain and the Algarve; the former attracts a younger crowd, Spain offers a blend of cultural delights and classic beach holidays, and the Algarve has its own unique style and atmosphere that simply cannot be missed. Each is worth looking at for a great, cheap summer holiday.
