With the rough economic conditions, going on an annual travel is becoming more and more challenging. Fortunately, there are many options for budget travel options. There are some simple tips that you can use in your trip planning to bring down the costs. Remember that you really are there to enjoy the vacation, not count the money.
The very first step in the budget travel is to plan your location and trip. Almost every popular tourist designation has some economical options for the tourists. If you plan and research long enough you can land yourself some great deals for staying and dining. Look for special discounts offers and tours wherever possible. These are simple ways you can bring down your basic trip expenses.
Once you are in the tourist spot, try to stick to places accessible to general public for low costs or for free. Typically, if you visit tropical islands, some beaches would be free for all while others are paid. You may want to stick to the public beaches over the private ones. Besides, on most beaches you can find some quite corner for yourself too.
If you are going on an adventure trip, another useful tip to save money is to carry your accessories along rather than purchase them at the destination. For example if you plan to go snorkeling carrying your snorkel, fins and mask is a good idea. Similarly for hiking trips get your own sticks and shoes is a lot more economical than purchasing it there.
The last and probably the most important tip for budget travel is a cap on shopping. The best way to plan a vacation is to carry a relatively empty bag with you to the destination. Your aim should be to ensure that you will only shop as much as your luggage can hold; anything beyond that needs to be avoided.
Once you decide to impose this rule strictly, you will suddenly find that you are not really shopping trinkets anymore. Every time you look to buy something you will think it over: Is it worth buying this? Will this occupy space which can be used for something better? Will I ever use it again in my life? Most times you will get answers which will discourage you from buying it. You would be surprised how easily you can overcome your urge to buy everything.
These are some simple tips travelers can follow to make their memorable trip economical and enjoyable.

Really good tips about saving and budgeting money when traveling. I love the tip wherein the author stated that, it always best to bring things you need rather than buying them at destination.

It is a good article and one that reminds me of my trip i am starting tomorrow. Normally I throw caution to the ind and throw money around like it is going out of fashion, however times have changed and I no longer want to do that. My tips would be
– research the different forms of travel. Everyone assume bus travel is cheaper but sometimes airlines have special deals.
– Eating out, don’t assume that a majority of establishments are the same. There are those geared up to tourists but to save money, you need to find out where the local eat.
