- Coniston

- Grasmere
Grasmere is a lovely little village that sits at the foot of some spectacular fells. It has its own lake, many quaint pubs and shops and you must try some of the legendary Grasmere Gingerbread.
Visit Wordsworth’s grave in the churchyard, hire a rowing boat in the summer time, and go for a walk along Red Bank Road. To the west of Rydal Water is a huge cave which is extremely enchanting and often pretty reflections can be seen in the lake.
