The Rise of Serviced Apartments

London is a thriving metropolis and its appeal to tourists from all over the world is massive and enduring. A thriving capital city it has an almost limitless amount to do for all ages. In one massive city it houses nearly 200 museums, a powerhouse of culture, including music, theatre, art and performing arts, an amazing shopping experience, history by the bucketful and the heart of the UK financial economy. With all that at your fingertips, it is no wonder so many people stay there both for pleasure and for business, from all around the world. But finding the best solution for accommodation is the key to how to enjoy London. There are really two good options when considering where to stay in Central London.

First choice for many visitors is one of the Central London Hotels that abound in this area. Whether it is the South Bank, Trafalgar or Leicester Square or London Bridge, all are well serviced. This makes the choice very hard. Many decide what they require, purely on budget. Whilst this is very sensible, comparing the features and services each offer for the money, along with reviews is very important. Central London Hotels are great bases for exploring the city by day and night. But if you stay in London for more than a few days, you may find them a little too small and stifling. This is particularly the experience of business travellers.

To cope with this need for something different, there is now the new breed of serviced central London apartments. With complexes such as the Marlin Apartments Canary Wharf springing up to capitalise, a good choice can be found. The huge difference with an apartment is the whole atmosphere. These apartments are really a home from home being spacious airy and light, some coming with 2 or 3 bedrooms. Furnished to a very high standard with complete high end amenities, usually including free Wi-Fi, all linen and a fully equipped kitchen, they are perfect for business people or families. Guests are usually greeted by beautiful packages of food and then left undisturbed, save for weekly cleaning services. In some cases, including the new Marlin Apartments Canary Wharf, unit sizes can go up to 6 rooms and have a 24 hour concierge service.

So it seems as though there is a new challenge to the hotels in central London. Serviced apartments provide something the hotels cannot. That is space, freedom and a feeling of being in your own property. You are free to sit in the lounge and put your feet up. For many families and business travellers the serviced apartment provides a perfect location to enjoy London at a price equal if not better to that of the hotels in the area.
