Going on vacation is exciting for everyone involved but finding activities to suit the whole family can be a little tricky. Entertaining children, teens and parents isn’t as hard as you may think, and there are plenty of activities that are sure to impress everyone. Here are the top 5.

Whale watching tour

Whale watching is the perfect holiday activity for everyone, there is no fitness level or age requirement and even small children will get enjoyment out of seeing the spectacular whales in their natural habitat. Day at the beach 

If your vacation in planned anywhere near a beach during summer there is no chance of boredom with the array of beach activities available. Relax on the sand while older children splash about in the water or try some of the many beach activities, such as blow-carting, wind-surfing, kayaking, body-boarding or even sand castle competitions. Hitting the beach is a great way to spend quality time with the family, while still having a blast on your vacation.

Horseback riding

Although this activity isn’t a good choice for children under 6 it is still a fantastic day out if the kids are a little older. Take a horseback trek on the beach or through a forest and enjoy getting back to nature. Horse treks are relatively inexpensive and the trek duration can be anywhere between 1 hour to overnight camp outs, the options are endless. If you have smaller children, consider a petting zoo instead with pony rides.

The most important thing to remember when taking as family vacation is to plan ahead of time and decide on the activities together.
